Did You Attend the Western Illinois University AG Mech Farm Expo?
If you attended the WIU annual AG Mech Farm Expo then you more than likely saw our containers and booth. The show has not been held for the last couple of years due to Covid and it was fun to get back out to the annual show and meet with customers.
At the Show
We were able to showcase our popular single-phase refrigerated container the ICE-Cubz. This 14’ unit is perfect for livestock farmers that provide on-site meat sales and butchering. It is wonderful for storing and curing chestnuts. Chestnuts need to be stored at 33-35°F. We also met with an Elderberry farmer that plans on using the ICE-Cubz as a chiller.
One of the new additions to our booth was a custom display (photo below) that our employee Austin made to show the different vents we offer. Vents are a beneficial tool to help move air and moisture out of the containers. The display also the difference between painting and not painting the containers. We had to chuckle at how often older farmers complimented Austin on his great welding job!
Our most interesting product at the trade show is our dry storage containers. They are multifaceted for farm use. We heard of many uses from customers. Some of the most popular uses were hay and straw storage, seed storage and small farm implement storage. One of the best uses we heard about was converting a 40’ into a farm storefront complete with an egg vending machine. We will definitely be writing a blog post about that container once it gets finished.
