Are Our Containers Wind & Water-Tight?
You might wonder what makes us different from other shipping container companies. Well, we stock our own containers on site and inspect them to ensure that, yes, all our containers are wind—and water-tight. Every container must pass an in-house inspection before delivery. If repairs need to be made, then we make them before the container is sold.
When we dispatch our drivers to depots to pick up containers, we don’t get to choose what container we are going to bring back to the yard. They pick one off the stack and load it on our trucks, even though we purchase wind and water-tight containers!
So, when our driver brings our container back to the yard we have an internal process where we inspect the containers. In the photos below, you can see some of the routine work needed to bring the container quality up to our standards.
What does an internal inspection consist of? Well, we do a light leak check. If you close yourself inside the container, do you see any light coming through? We also free and lube the container doors. We got on top of the container and look for holes and heavy corrosion. Inspection of the floor is done to make sure there are no holes or soft spots.
Once we ensure our containers are wind and water-tight, it passes our inspection it is ready to be sold or delivered as a rental!
