Cold Beverages – Our Favorite Storage Subject
We have an old friend, not too far from our shop, that has a convenience store. The owner needed to make more space in his store and wanted to eliminate the storage area in his building to gain more floor space to display merchandise. Thus, we were able to discuss cold beverages – our favorite storage subject!
Cold Beverage Storage is Born
Excitingly, we were able to work with the owner and then came up with a plan to use a modified retired refrigerated shipping container. This container is fitted with a window A/C unit and a small electric heater. This allows our customer to store his cold beverages, including beer and soda! The container was placed behind his building outside adding an additional 320 square feet, 2300 cubic feet of floor space with no disturbance to his daily operations.
He then added a doorway from inside his store into the refrigerated shipping container to make it easily accessible. This will save time and money when it is time to restock the shelves! The container can easily maintain +60°F, so the cold beverages are temperature controlled while in storage.
