Good Does Prevail
Your word is everything. It defines who you are both in business and in life. It forms your reputation. In the past your word and a hand shake were all that were needed. Hell or high water- you kept your word, and when you couldn’t, it ate you up inside and left you with sleepless nights. Seems like those days aren’t happening like they did. Words are now empty lies and the hand shake more of a fake attempt and playing nice.
Here at USA-Containers we live in the past, probably our age, but when we give our word we keep it. Sure there are the extreme circumstances that sometimes we can’t and then the gnawing gut reaction and long sleepless nights kick in. We pride ourselves on our word and reputation. You fail pretty quickly in business without it. We don’t want to be the company that gives excuses and throw our competitors under the bus. We let our moral compass guide us. It pays off in the long run.
Honesty & Reputation
Recently we have been working a huge deal with a world-wide company and it almost fell through due to the fact of another custom shipping container company did not keep their word let alone have a moral compass. Bad apples like this in the business world mess up the good guys too, however not this time. Mike’s honest and valued reputation got us the deal we had been hoping for. High level employees went to bat for us and gave their word that Mike was the real deal. His reputation has been stellar in the 30 plus years of the custom shipping container business. That’s 30 years of keeping your word. Let that sink in young men and women in the business world. 30 plus years of ethics and hard work.
Even though we are a small company, compared to others in the world, we are a company that keeps its word and that have a moral compass that will continue to point in the direction of honesty and integrity.
