Hunting Container
Okay hunters your dreams are about to come true. A lot of you call us and ask about shipping containers being converted into economical hunting container or cabins that can left deep into the woods to be used seasonally. Well, we heard you. As the saying goes, “If you build it –They will come” is about to come to fruition.
The guys in the shop have been busy building a very basic no-frills unit for hunters. While it was very tempting to add all the bells and whistles to the unit we decided not to. Those of us that hunt each have our own preferences on equipment. Some of use prefer muzzleloaders over shotguns. Some of us prefer hunting waterfowl and other just deer. It kind of is like a Ford vs. Chevy debate. For that reason we opted to go simple and let the customer add other options to make the perfect hunting cabin to fit their needs.
As you can see from the pictures we added a wall with a window, A/C unit and door for entry allowing the exterior doors of the container to close enabling the hunter to lock the container up for the season. The unit will have electric outlets and lights that can be run on a generator. I already envisioned having a swing down porch covering that could fold down and be bolted to the swing door to serve as a covered porch. I also wanted to have fold down bunk beds and table. Mike wanted to put a deer skinning hook on the outside. Mike Doss wanted to paint it a camo color. So you can see we all have our little add-ons.
