Buy or Rent Dry Storage Shipping Containers
Dry Storage Shipping Containers are a great solution for various applications. These have been used for decades as an economical and convenient solution for long- and short-term storage needs. Businesses, both large and small, buy and rent containers. These businesses include farming operations, ranchers, convenience stores, and residential and urban farms. Anyone looking for quick, easy solutions for their storage needs benefits from dry storage containers.
There are many benefits of using shipping containers
- They don’t require a foundation; the heavy-duty floor will support almost anything you can throw at it.
- The all-steel construction is rodent-resistant and much more secure than a wooden or plastic storage building.
- There is no assembly of a thin, flimsy metal building or weekends wasted building a wooden shed.
- We can modify a Dry Storage Shipping Container for numerous uses if they are durable.
- Flooring is made of 1 and 1/8th inch thick marine plywood, higher-quality, cross-laminated, and longer-lasting plywood.
Security
Are shipping containers secure? While no security system is foolproof, shipping containers offer a higher level of protection and naturally deter most criminals. Adding heavy-duty locks aids in the security of your container.
Maintenance
Dry shipping containers require little maintenance and are self-sufficient. Our blog post, Tips for Taking Care of Your Container, provides detailed information on container maintenance and inspections at home you can do to prolong the life of your container.
Parts and Service
All of our containers are located on-site at our one location in Smithshire, IL. We inspect every container when it arrives on location, We Notice The Small Things. Our modifications tech will do a complete inspection of each container and fix what is needed before we sell them to our customers.
Condition Options
When it comes to dry shipping containers, we provide two types of conditions for dry cargo containers.
- “New” or One-Trip Shipping Containers. These units are manufactured in China and then make one trip overseas to the United States with cargo loaded inside. They may exhibit minor dents and dings during the shipping process. The manufacturers are starting to put bamboo flooring in them. Read more about flooring.
- Used Shipping Containers. Our used units are watertight, do not leak and the doors are in operating condition. However, they are rougher in appearance with more dents, dings, and surface rust. The minor dents usually have little impact on the storage space inside. The floors may show signs of minor damage or delamination but will be structurally sound.
Shipping containers provide a versatile storage option for many different industries and needs. We offer a wide array of storage containers that you get to choose from. We can also personalize these dry shipping containers to fit your needs. Below, you can see the difference between a One-Trip “New” and a Used Container below.
Size Options
- Length: Standard containers come in two sizes, 20-foot and 40-foot, thus because of regulations for cargo ships. However, there are containers available in 10-foot and 45-foot sizes.
- Width: All shipping, or cargo, containers are 8-foot wide.
- Height: There are two different height options. 8’6″ are standard height containers and 9’6″ tall containers are what we call High Cub containers.
