Shipping Containers are becoming very popular as Self Storage Facilities. We recently assisted a good customer in adding (32) 20’ Shipping Containers to their existing storage facilities.
These are brand new units with specifications of easy-open doors, lock boxes, additional vents and bamboo flooring.
Shipping Containers offer several benefits for your self storage business. One benefit is increased security as they are very difficult to break into. They are more rodent resistant than conventional self storage buildings. Lastly, shipping containers are less prone to wind and tornado damage.
Shipping Containers require no on site construction mess. There is also minimal foundation and concrete requirements thus reducing expenses. You can also relocate these Shipping Containers easily. They are not a permanent structures like conventional self storage buildings. Depending on the quantities and location, these units can be delivered and ready for use much faster than a conventional self storage building. We deliver our containers on a tilt bed trailer.
