Custom Container: Water Treatment Enclosure
We recently modified a container into a water treatment enclosure. In some cases shipping containers are modified to act as a heavy duty enclosure for a variety of purposes, such as, a motor and control room. Using a shipping container, it provides a tough and durable enclosure. Of course, it is also watertight and rodent proof.
We used a One Trip Container for this project. Manufactured in China, one trip containers are in “like new” condition. Loaded with cargo, they make one trip overseas to the US. They may show minor dings and dents during the shipping process. China manufactures over 90 percent of the worlds shipping containers.
In this case we recently completed a container modification to house and protect a water treatment plant. This enclosure included insulation, interior FRP lining, climate controlled, lighting / receptacles and epoxy flooring. It also included flat panel inserts to allow easy installation of piping throughout the container walls.
Following very stringent guidelines, we build these containers to our customer’s specifications. They require exact placement of all the various components to assure they match up with the installation of the water treatment assembly on location.
