Why We Started USA-Containers
Why we started USA-Containers? Serendipity. Webster defines it as finding something valuable or pleasant things that are not looked for. A silver lining of sorts. Not many companies would think of that word when it comes to describing their company, but for USA-Containers it fits us perfectly. Our company was formed in April 2010 by Mike and Ann Alecock. Mike had 30 years of experience in the used shipping containers field in Texas and was and is known for his honesty and good old Midwest work ethics. His wife Ann, although new to the shipping container business brought experience as an educator and communications background. With Mike’s background in containers, he saw an immediate need for storage containers in west-central Illinois, especially in the agricultural and business communities. In four short years, the Alecock’s built USA-Container from two employees to seven and continue to grow yearly.
As we have grown over the last five years, we have expanded our product lines to meet our customers’ needs. Our container selection alone has grown rapidly from new and used shipping containers in Illinois. USA-Containers now offers the following but not limited to:
- New and Used Shipping Containers
- Reefer Containers
- Insulated Containers
- Office Containers
- Custom Shipping Containers
- Even built a Shipping Container Building!
The needs of our customers always come first, which is why we provide an extensive amount of customization in all our containers.
Not only do we strive to be honest but also reputable in our family business. We also believe that giving back to the community that helped support our business is crucial, but more on that in the next blog. Oh, and the Serendipity part? Well, that has to be working with our family and life long friends on a daily basis.
